Dubrovnik’s Old Town is packed with bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants. There are so many options, for many the people the best option is to just wander around a bit and see what looks good. For those who want a plan, here are a few options for the best spots to stop for a drink.
Trubadur Hard Jazz Café
This outdoor cafe does have tons of tables, but they fill up rather quickly on a warm evening. The service is not that fast and drinks are not cheap, but the atmosphere is hard to beat in the evening with live musicians and a feisty vibe.
Address: Buniceva Poljana 2, Dubrovnik
This bar has a an upbeat vibe with tunes going all day long and into the wee hours. They also have reasonably priced drinks and free Wi-Fi for customers, which is not all that common in Dubrovnik. Due it’s location on one of the side streets in the Old Town, there is no outdoor area for Sky Bar.
Address: Marjice Kaboge 1, Old Town Dubrovnik
Katie O’Connor’s Irish Pub
A good, relaxed place to grab a pint and watch Sky Sports within the Old Town. It’s your typical Irish pub, but sometimes that’s just what you need.
This is a unique bar that is a must-see while in the Old City. To find it you need to just walk along the outside wall of the city and you will come across the small opening. With multiple tiers of patios, the bar offers a completely unique setting for grabbing a drink or even jumping into the water. During the day you will often see sun bathers and simmers taking advantage of the lower levels that access the sea.
For people watching just head straight to any of the many squares within the Old Town or to the end of the city at the marina where there are numerous restaurants where you can grab a drink or bite to eat while being constantly entertained by the hoards of tourists walking by.
Address: Just outside the Old City walls
