Salt Bar & Restaurant is a fantastic restaurant that provides meals that provide excellent quality and flavors presented in such a unique way that each dish feel like an experience with a mixture of textures, colors and tastes that are sure to please. The restaurant is located in the Admiral Hotel, with a large interior and an outdoor area overlooking the canal, which is perfect for a warm evening.
The croquette of scallops and crab with peas, almonds and pickled red onions (Kr. 110), is a must try. Served with a fantastically unique presentation, this appetizer will make you want seconds. Other popular options include ballotine of fried and marinated foie gras with red berries, vadouvan and nuts and steamed blue mussels in white wine and cream with ramson and Parmesan cheese (Kr. 110).
For your main course, try the fillet of Angus with smoked marrow, new onions, and tomato and strawberry relish (Kr. 265) or for some seafood fare try the baked lemon sole with shrimps, cauliflower and smoked fresh cheese (Kr. 245).
Winner of the Politiken’s Nordic Fork prize at the food fair Nordic Taste in Copenhagen, the Salt Bar & Restaurant offers the perfect mix of excellent food with unique presentation and incredible service. Be sure to make a reservation, as there are two seating per evening but most days these are fully booked.
