Location & getting there
The Iberostar Dominicana is located about 40+ minutes from the Punta Cana airport. It is wise to book transportation before you go to ensure that getting to and from the hotel is easy enough. We booked the airport transfer through Expedia and paid $114 roundtrip for four adults. The van could have easily fit up to seven adults. The transfer went smoothly and we were on time for everything. When heading back to the airport be sure to arrive at the airport at least two hours before departure as the lines can get extremely long.
When heading to the Dominican republic be sure to have some cash on hand for the customs fees. This is a $5 charge that need to pay when going through immigration and customs in the airport, which is a bit of a mess.
