Piccolino is a fantastic Italian restaurant with multiple locations, including near the Cavern Quarter in Liverpool. The staff is extremely polite and helpful and the food is incredible.
While you’re ordering you wine get the pane fino con formaggio (thin crust garlic bread with mozzarella
cheese £4.65) to share – it’s the size of a small pizza.
For starters try the Fritto misto (a crispy fried squid, king prawn, asparagus, roast garlic mayonnaise
& lemon £7.50/£11.25 ) or the traditional Prosciutto e melon (parma ham & melon £7.75).
For mains, be sure to check out the specials, like seafood stuffed lobster. The bistecca con porcini- grilled 8oz sirloin with crushed celeriac & porcini mushroom sauce for £18.95 is a staple. For sides, watch out for the risotto, as it can be extremely rich to the point where it’s a bit tough to finish.
