The Stratosphere hotel is often one of the cheapest options available for accommodation in Las Vegas. It is not a 5 star hotel by any means, but it does have some unique aspects that makes it a good choice for the price conscious traveler.
The Stratosphere hotel is location off the strip at the north end. It is a bit of a walk to get to where all the action is on the strip or a very cheap cab ride to any of the bigger hotels in the area. Being off strip does mean that it is not the most convenient location.
There are seven options for dining at the Stratosphere (we’re not counting Starbucks as a restaurant). These do include the cheap and bargain deals at the buffet or Roxy’s Diner with food available 24 hours every day. The hotel also more upscale options like Top of the World, which is 800 feet in the air and is a rotating restaurant or Fellini’s Italian restaurant.
The observation deck is the Stratosphere’s most well known attraction. The observation deck has both indoor and outdoor areas, is able to be booked for special events and has it’s very own bar, located 1,149 feet in the air with great views of Vegas and the surrounding area.
Located on the 8th floor of the building, the pool area at the Stratosphere focuses on having fun with activities like volleyball and beer pong tournaments as well the opportunity to play ‘bikini blackjack. Beware that the pool is located outside so this may not be an option in the colder months.
