The best time to visit Edinburgh, Scotland is during one of the many festivals held there throughout the year. Though prices may be slightly higher at hotels, it’s worth it to take advantage of all the festivals have to offer.
The Fringe Festival has been a way for the careers of big stars to begin for years with celebrities like Eddie Izzard, Jude Law, Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie and Billy Connolly and having performed there. For the past few years there have been over 2,000 acts performing during the festival, with last minute tickets also available for extremely prices, as low as £3 – or try to get buy one get one free by striking a deal with the performers that are offering tickets near the ticket booths.
