For an unbeatable view of the city of Bangkok, you must visit the Dome at lebua. Within this hotel there are three restaurants and three bars. The restaurants are highly lauded for their cuisine, as well as the atmosphere.
If you are just interested in seeing the sites – stop by Sirocco or distil on the 64th floor. The drinks are not spectacular, but the view is. Though the outdoor area of Sirocco can be closed due to inclement weather, it should open rather quickly once things quiet down. Be sure to note that there is a dress code for all of these locations, including close-toed shoes and long pants for men. It can be fairly crowded, particularly since it is now more of a site to see because it was the location for much of the filming of “The Hangover 2”. However, the outdoor areas are spacious and comfortable with a bar jutting out over the open air 64 floors above the bustling city.
A stop by the Dome is well worth your time while in Bangkok, particularly to see the skyline of the city during the evening hours. There is also often a full band playing on the outdoor patio in the evenings to add some additional ambiance to your night.
