Cape Town is fairly large city and is made up of many different neighborhoods, each with their own unique vibe. Sea Point and Green Point are laid back and quieter than some of the other areas of Cape Town. However, they have everything you could possibly need when it comes to options for dining or shopping.
Cocktails in Sea PointThe Industry
With smoke-infused, specialty cocktails being their signature, you can find uniquely flavored drinks that are hand crafted with cinnamon or hickory smoke. At $4 per cocktail, it’s a good deal as well. There is a small bar, a few tables and an outdoor area (semi under construction still in January 2019). The food is decent as well, with breakfast being the better option than the burgers.
Burgers and ribsJerry’s Burgers
While I wouldn’t usually suggest a chain restaurant, their food is good and portions are nice. They also have happy hour for half-priced appetizers and deals on some of their draft beers. Mon-Fri from 4-6 PM.
Tip: Try one of the Jack’s craft beers for less than $2 during happy hour.

Coffee and breakfastBootlegger
The coffee is strong and delicious. I’m fan of their iced Americano which pairs well with Cape Town’s heat. They have indoor and outdoor seating and reasonable prices. Their food menu is pretty extensive with options everything from Smoked Salmon Trout Benedict (delicious) to Acai bowls or Peri Peri chicken livers.
Tip: They also have great WiFi and it’s a popular spot for sitting down and working on your laptop while you have a coffee (I’m writing this post from there right now…)

Tapas and DinnerLa Boheme
Their food is delicious and their wine menu is extensive. The food ranges from Spanish to seafood. Try the Kinglip (lightly battered and fried fish), pork belly or mushroom and bacon arancini.
Tip: During the afternoon they offer a deal where you get a free sangria if you order two tapas.

Sandwiches and lunchGiovanni’s Deliworld
An amazing shop with pastas and sandwiches that high use end ingredients. There is a small in-store dining area that serves sandwiches and small meals. You can also purchase a wide variety of grocery items, from wine to British mustard and freshly ground coffee to prosciutto. It’s on the more expensive side, but they have many items you can’t find in even the large grocery stores.

Fish And Chips in Sea PointSnoekies
The Kinglip tapas are quite amazing at La Boheme but if want a take away or something just quick and cheap definitely try Snoekies. I was skeptical at first, but the portions are large and the fish is very fresh. The calamari was also quite good.
