Malaga is an ideal location for relaxing and enjoying the Spanish coast of Costa del Sol in the Andalusia region. With warm weather, beautiful beaches and a perfect small city feel, Malaga is an ideal getaway spot for families, singles or any group.
You can spend an idealistic afternoon wandering around the small, pedestrian only alleyways and streets around the old town area without ever finding an end of tapas restaurants and Spanish cafes to stop into. Check out Dos Gatos (C/ Granada, 33) for the extremely friendly service, cheap drinks and the best tortillas in Malaga. Weather permitting, be sure to grab a table outside in front of the Cathedral for some spectacular people watching (just avoid the overpriced food and drinks at Cheers).
To add a bit of culture to your trip, stop by the Picasso museum (plan ahead, as the mueseum is closed on Mondays). Entry charges are: collection €6.00, exhibition €4.50, combined entrance €8.00.
Take a 10 minute walk and head down to the beach or be lazy and pay €5 to take a rickshaw for the ride from the city center.
